Mount Joy’s Thanksgiving Initiative!

Dear Friends,

Though we at Mount Joy give thanks to God daily, we take great happiness in celebrating our Nation’s designated day of thanks. For the past seven years we have had the honor and humbled pleasure of delivering homemade Thanksgiving dinners to over 90 members of our community; in shelters, nursing homes and individual resident homes who otherwise would not have been able to enjoy a delicious home cooked meal on Thanksgiving Day.

We take pride in delivering quality tasty meals of roasted turkey w/ dressing, gravy, ham, macaroni and cheese, candied yams, string beans; including dinner roll, homemade sweet potato pie and a drink.

Because providing these meals has brought us such joy, we thought it would be nice to allow our friends to take part in this event.  Therefore, as a result we are accepting the following donations:

  1. Turkeys
  2. Hams
  3. Elbow macaroni
  4. Butter/margarine
  5. Cheddar cheese
  6. Brown sugar
  7. Fresh yams
  8. Boxed stuffing
  9. Large Cans of String beans

Monetary donations are also accepted towards the preparation, packaging and delivery costs. Checks may be made payable to MJCOG, Inc.

Please bring in all donations by Friday, November 20th to ensure proper time for final counts and shopping to either a known Mount Joy Member or you may call (610) 265-3357/610-551-9276 for your delivery arrangements. Should you need a letter of receipt regarding your donation for tax purposes, please submit your Name & Address and we will be glad to send you a letter of receiving such before the end of this year.

We thank you in advance for your kind consideration and participation.

In His Love & Joy,

Overseer Denise Reynolds, Pastor

Officers and Members of Mount Joy Church of God, Inc.
